Frankfurt It was a good year for the Dax: a good three weeks before New Year’s Eve, the German share index is twelve percent higher than on January 1, 2021. What this value does not show: Some Dax papers have brought investors significantly better returns – with others they suffered however, double-digit losses.
Who are these tops and flops? And what opportunities do they offer in the coming year?
The snapshot from Monday morning shows five previous winners in the Dax: Sartorius with an increase of 67 percent, Merck and Siemens Health with 52 percent each, Daimler with 48 percent and Linde with 34 percent, according to the data provider Refinitiv. Noticeable: the top positions belong to the health sector. No wonder in corona times, but the thrust may decrease again once the epidemic is overcome.
