These Dax companies develop their own versions of ChatGPT

Dusseldorf Experts agree that artificial intelligence (AI) will radically change the way we live, work and make money. Many DAX companies are already using the technology – and most of them expect that AI will change their business model in the next few years. This is shown by a Handelsblatt survey of the 40 Dax companies, in which 30 companies took part.

Handelsblatt reporter Michael Scheppe explains in the podcast in which areas AI applications are already being used by the Dax companies.

“Allianz uses AI to automatically detect cases of insurance fraud, and Telekom surveys regions with AI in order to be able to expand networks more quickly,” says Scheppe. However, the banks are not yet so euphoric: “Deutsche Bank has even blocked the ChatGPT website in the company network.” The reason is data protection concerns and the concern that important customer data could end up on American servers. “Commerzbank handles it the same way,” says Scheppe.

Technology Team Leader Thomas Jahn discusses Virgin Galactic’s first commercial space flight. For billionaire Richard Branson’s company, it is probably the most important flight in the company’s history and could be the start of a lucrative business.
