There Will Be No Netflix Application on Apple Vision Pro

Netflix will not develop an app for Apple Vision Pro, nor will it allow the existing iPad app to be used in the title. Vision Pro buyers will have to open Netflix from the browser when they want to watch “something” on Netflix.

According to the news from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, there will not be a Netflix application specific to Apple Vision Pro. Additionally, Netflix will not allow the iPad app to be mirrored on Vision Pro. Apple had already pointed out this situation during the promotion by not counting Netflix among the platforms that would have a title-specific application.

Although Vision Pro users will be able to access content through the native application of Disney Plus, Max, Amazon Prime Video and Paramount Plus, they only have one alternative to access Netflix, which is to access the platform via the browser.

Browser will be used to watch Netflix on Apple Vision Pro

In this case, the immersion of the content will decrease. Netflix, whose image quality already varies from browser to browser, will also not allow content to be downloaded offline and will set limits on resolution.

Netflix has an application developed for the Quest title developed by Meta, but this application is not very up-to-date. However, it can be quite disturbing to buy a title worth 3499 dollars (105 thousand TL at today’s exchange rate) and then not be able to watch the desired content.

Netflix gave Mac users as an example

Making a statement on the subject, Netflix spokesperson Kumiko Hidaka said, “Our members will be able to enjoy Netflix on Vision Pro from the browser, just like our members can enjoy Netflix on Mac.” he said. So, there seems to be no change on the Netflix side for now.

Apple Vision Pro will deliver 3D movies and experiences on Disney Plus and Apple TV.
