According to the information in the report, we see that as of the end of last year, there were 285 thousand software developers in our country, 245 thousand of whom are active and 40 thousand of whom are freelancers. When the first months of 2024 are included, we can say that the number of software developers in Turkey approaches 300 thousand.

According to the information provided, 1598 of 1702 applications made by foreign software developers within the scope of the International Talent Transfer project carried out by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Industry and Technology were evaluated positively. The most applied positions were software designer, software developer and software tester. The highest number of applications came from Russians with 833 people.
