The new BMW 5 Series is introduced: Here’s the design and features!

German automaker BMW has renewed its flagship 5 Series. With the new version, for the first time, fully electric driving mode has been added to the BMW 5 Series. In addition, the design of the car has undergone serious changes. Here are the details about the new BMW 5 Series…

The BMW 5 Series is now bigger!

It hasn’t even been a month since Mercedes-Benz introduced the new E-Class. BMW, among the German manufacturers, responded quickly to this move. And with the body code G60, the new BMW 5 Series was introduced. The new BMW 5 Series with body code G60 is even bigger than its predecessor. While this refreshes the interior, it also makes the car look more muscular from the outside.

BMW’s head of design, Domagoj Dukec, called the new BMW 5 Series “the most elegant BMW”. Dukec states that they have designed the most elegant BMW model ever made. Although the word elegant does not exactly match with sportiness, the new BMW 5 Series seems to have not lost anything from its sporty stance.

The facelift Volkswagen Touareg is officially introduced!

Volkswagen’s flagship SUV model Touareg has been facelifted. Here is the facelifted new Volkswagen Touareg and its details…

The 5 Series now features larger and sportier front grilles. This is not surprising, since BMW has recently wanted to enlarge the kidneys of its cars. At the rear, a steeper tailgate welcomes us. With the touch of the taillights, we see the new design in the form of 3 blades instead of the LED bar design that progresses in a single line.

When we come to the interior, we can say that we are having a full screen feast. In the cockpit, which has fewer keypads compared to previous generations, even the door locks and seat heating settings have been moved to the screens. BMW has added touch panels in small strips to the doors of the vehicle for both ambient lighting and such operations.

The instrument panel of the vehicle is designed as we are accustomed to seeing the fully electric BMW i Series models. In the middle, we see the giant screen with a reference to Tesla. Again under this screen, the quad flasher and air conditioning settings are integrated into a touch panel. The center console, which includes the gear and armrest sections of the vehicle, is quite similar to the previous model.

Now fully electric: the new BMW i5!

The i5, the electric version of the new generation BMW with body code G60, will be sold with two different engine options. The first of these engine options is the eDrive40, which will produce 335 hp with a single rear electric motor. In addition, there is a version called M60, which has a rear double electric motor and produces 590 hp.

The 5 Series, which is the internal combustion version of the vehicle, will be sold with the 520i, 520d and 520d xDrive models. Rechargeable hybrid versions of the 530e and 550e xDrive will be available in Europe in the future. It is not yet clear which versions will enter the Turkish market. Finally, the most powerful version of the vehicle, the 540i, will be offered with all-wheel drive, in-line six-cylinder 3.0-liter engine.
