He announced that with the effect of digitalization, this rate reached 15.7 percent in 2020 and 18.6 percent in 2022.

According to the Turkey E-Commerce Ecosystem Report, the size of the e-commerce sector has reached 801 billion TL.

The Ministry of Commerce increased its inspections in the e-commerce sector. With these inspections, the Ministry ensures the safety of both consumers and companies. In 2023, an administrative fine of 78 million 530 thousand 902 liras was imposed on companies whose practices were found to be contrary to the legislation.

In addition to these inspection studies, the Ministry of Commerce also evaluated consumer complaint applications and arbitral tribunal data. As a result of these analyses, inspections were carried out. In this way, the ministry aims to prevent consumer grievances by controlling companies in the e-commerce sector.
