The Importance of Money in Infant Development Scientifically Proven

While the importance of finances in the development of babies is already known, a new study has revealed for the first time a striking result directly related to money itself and baby development. Accordingly, babies show much more brain activity in a financially well-off environment.

Many studies have been conducted to date on the effect of the financial situation of the family on the development of children. The majority of these studies have succeeded in demonstrating that financial situation does indeed play a role in the development of the child. But the first results from a new study that is still in progress provide more information on this subject and, unfortunately, revealed the bitter truth.

Many of the studies showed that child development is not affected by the financial situation itself, but by factors such as education and health related to it. The new study directly showed the role of money in the development of the child of an ordinary or wealthy family. shared results, in a family with more money proved that the child showed more brain activity.

Babies show more brain activity in ‘paid’ environment

The first results of the study, called Baby’s First Year, were published directly on the study’s website. 1000 mothers took part in the study. These mothers were randomly assigned for four years. they would either make $333 a month or $20 a month. After the first year of the study, the electrical activity in the brains of the children of 435 families was examined by the researchers.

The data obtained show that children whose mothers are paid more have more brain activity showed. The results were the opposite for children of less well-paid mothers. Neuroscientist Kimberly Noble explained the scientific reason for this result as follows:

“All healthy minds are shaped by their environment and experiences; we are not saying that a group has ‘better’ brains. However, thanks to the random distribution, the children’s $333 per month changing their experience or environment And we know their brains are adapting to these changing conditions.”
