Accordingly, the Stellantis Group, which owns brands such as Opel, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Fiat, Citroen, will open the 73 thousand m2 Mirafiori facility in Turin with an investment of 40 million Euros. SUSTAINera transforms it into a circular economy center with its name. In this new center, the brand will implement its strategy under the headings of remanufacturing, repair, reuse and recycling.

The system works in 4 steps. First of all, there are battery, engine, transmissions, etc., which can be called mechanical. will come to the factory. These parts will then be disassembled and cleaned in a controlled and standard manner in the factory environment, and their problems will be identified. Depending on the condition of the part, the remanufacturing or repair process will be implemented at factory standards.

Then, the cars will be examined cosmetically. Here, the defects on the outer bodies of the cars will be examined and corrected to factory standards. While repair work will be carried out where deemed necessary, parts will be replaced directly where necessary. Of course, all these parts will be replaced with original ones.

Vehicles whose cosmetic work has been completed will be ready for sale and will be offered for sale. The last step is the recycling of cars that cannot be salvaged. Here, after the parts that are useful and comply with the standards are removed from the vehicle, the automobile will be put into the recycling line and will be reused as raw materials in the construction of other automobiles.
