The Dax is facing a restless week

Dusseldorf The situation is changing so quickly: On Thursday morning, the leading German index Dax reached 15,629 points, its highest level in 52 weeks. This was followed on Friday by the second weakest trading day of the year, the Frankfurt stock exchange barometer fell by more than 300 points and ended trading at 15,308 points.

“Following the relatively steady upward movement of the German share index since the beginning of the year, investors now have to deal with the issue of volatility again,” says Konstantin Oldenburger, market analyst at the financial services provider CMC Markets. “The nervousness is increasing, the almost exuberantly optimistic mood of the past six weeks is threatening to tip over.”

Against this background, the coming week is of particular importance. The US inflation figures are an event that has caused a lot of movement on the stock exchanges in recent months.
