“The consequences of an oil embargo are trivialized”

Soon no more Russian oil will arrive at the Schwedt refinery. Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck does not rule out regional fuel bottlenecks in East Germany. How do you prepare the country for this?
I have to clearly disagree with Mr. Habeck! As Federal Minister of Economics, you can’t just say that there will soon be no more fuel at the gas station in the East, and not just in East Germany. Germany needs a secure supply everywhere.

What would be the effects of a fuel shortage?
The consequences would be massive, for the economy, for the population, for commuter traffic in the capital region. Many Brandenburgers are dependent on the car to get to work. It must be ruled out that a collapse will occur. It is imperative that Schwedt continues to run as fully as possible. The fact that only East Germany is being talked about, where delivery bottlenecks can occur, makes me bad faith.
