Dusseldorf Tesla significantly lowers prices in Germany. A Model 3 with rear-wheel drive costs around 44,000 euros, 6000 euros less, the smallest Model Y is 45,000 euros even 9100 euros cheaper than before. For comparison: VW recently raised the entry-level price for the compact ID.3 to around 44,000 euros.

Tesla is also significantly reducing prices in other countries such as France, Great Britain, China or the USA. In America, prices have been reduced by up to almost 20 percent, depending on the model, and in China Tesla had already reduced prices by around 13 percent a week ago.

Tesla itself justifies the price cuts by saying that the situation in the factories has slowly returned to normal. “At the end of a turbulent year of supply chain disruptions, we have now achieved some normalization of cost inflation, giving us the confidence to pass these reliefs on to our customers,” the manufacturer said.
