austin The electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla handed over fewer vehicles to its customers in the fourth quarter than experts had expected. Compared to the same period last year, the number of deliveries rose by almost a third to around 405,000 copies, as the company led by tech billionaire Elon Musk announced on Monday in Austin (US state of Texas).
Industry experts had even expected almost 421,000 vehicles to be delivered.
For the full year, Tesla said it had delivered around 1.3 million electric vehicles. This corresponds to an increase of 40 percent compared to the previous year.
Tesla plans to announce full figures for the fourth quarter and 2022 on January 25.
