Frankfurt A tweet from Tesla boss Elon Musk ensures a strong upturn in the crypto currency Dogecoin. Musk tweeted on Tuesday around noon that Tesla would bring some fan articles onto the market that customers could pay for with the cryptocurrency. In addition to vehicles, the e-car maker also sells products such as clothing, mugs and umbrellas in its online shop.
Since the tweet, the Dogecoin on the Coinmarketcap platform has risen to $ 0.217, an increase of around 38 percent over the course of the day. Previously, the price of the cryptocurrency had been hovering around $ 0.15 for a few days.
Musk has often moved the crypto market with his tweets in the past, helping partly Bitcoin and partly other crypto currencies to jump in price.
