Frankfurt For those who are struggling with home office, quarantine, closed daycare centers or even existential fears, the topic of tax returns for 2021 can fade into the background. The good news in the corona stress: As in the previous year, the submission deadlines have been extended slightly. This emerges from the Fourth Corona Tax Assistance Act passed in June.
Those filing their paperwork without assistance have until October 31 (was July 31) for the current tax year to file their paperwork. For those who have their tax return prepared by a tax consultant or wage tax association, the filing deadline for the 2021 tax year ends on August 31, 2023.
