Dusseldorf At just under 16,000 points, the Dax is almost four percent off its all-time high. Many investors are therefore wondering whether now is a good time to sell – before things really go downhill.
Because there are many risks: the war in Ukraine, the recession in Germany, the weak economic data from China and rising prices and interest rates.
Especially when investors don’t look at their portfolio every day during the upcoming vacation, they want to be sure that they are well positioned. Different types of investors should consider different points.
“Particularly in the summer and autumn, there were often price turbulences in the past,” warns investment expert Andreas Limoser from the independent investment consultancy VZ Vermögenszentrum. He points to the risk of setbacks in view of the recent sharp rise in stock markets. The Dax has increased by 35 percent since October.
