Stefan Wolf gives up his senior position at Elring-Klinger

Stuttgart Stefan Wolf is surprisingly resigning from his top job at the automotive supplier Elring-Klinger. The supervisory board agreed with the 61-year-old on Thursday that he would resign from office with effect from June 30, 2023, the company from Dettingen an der Erms announced on Friday.

CFO Thomas Jessulat will temporarily take over Wolf’s duties as CEO. The search for a successor has already begun. Wolf has led the group for 17 years. He joined there in 1997 as an in-house lawyer and was later responsible for the areas of law, human resources and investor relations.

At first, Elring-Klinger did not give a reason for his departure. Since 2020, Wolf has also headed the Gesamtmetall employers’ association, in which Germany’s regional metalworking employers’ associations have come together. The association said on Thursday that Wolf had been unanimously confirmed in office for another two years in the summer of 2022. This initially continues to apply.
