Standard iPhone 16s may be slower than iPhone 15 Pro!

Even though there is a year ahead for the iPhone 16 series, leaked news has begun to come to light.

Standard iPhone 16 models will use the A17 processor

As it is known, Apple has been introducing 2 standard models and 2 Pro models in recent years. So much so that the hardware difference between standard and Pro models increases year by year. With the last series, this difference gradually increased. The technology giant wants to continue this trend.

Apple uses two different processors in its series. The processor, which was included in the Pro models a year ago, moves to the standard model the next year. Pro models also use the new processor. However, the technology giant will use a processor that performs lower than the iPhone 15 Pro models in the iPhone 16 standard models.

As it is known, Apple uses the Apple A17 Pro processor in the iPhone 15 Pro models. Considering the tradition of the technology giant, we expect it to use this processor in the standard models in the series it will introduce next year. However, the company will use the A17 processor, which will be more affordable, in the iPhone 16 series.

What will be the difference between Apple A17 Pro and standard A17?

Apple partners with TSMC when it comes to its processor. This duo uses the N3B node on the 3nm production line when producing Apple A17 Pro processors. TSMC’s standard 3nm production is carried out with N3E. The N3E has fewer EUV layers and lower transistor density than Apple uses. It seems that Apple will reduce the performance of its processor in the next series.
