Spofity releases mini player feature for macOS and Windows

Spotify announced the availability of a new feature on both macOS and Windows. The feature called Mini Player has been activated only for premium subscribers for now.

The mini player is designed to give you maximum control over your music and podcasts with minimal intervention. For example, if you want to quickly skip a track, adjust the volume or change the repeat mode, you will no longer need the Spotify window.

It has been announced that clips will be added to songs for the popular music application Spotify. Here are the details about the innovation…

As seen above, you can change the shape of the mini player to a square, rectangle or a “stylish bar”. Spotify states that the mini player offers a balanced experience that caters equally to both video and music content. It outputs video podcasts in picture-in-picture mode with controls and you can change the size of the video player.

While in mini player mode, tap the artist name, song title, or album art to open the main Spotify app. You can find the mini player in the bottom-right corner of the Spotify desktop app, between the volume and full-screen buttons.

The mini player can be used on top of other applications, so we should point out that the new feature will not disturb your workflow as much as switching windows. However, since it does not replace the Spotify window, it can be opened and closed without interrupting the listening experience.
