SPD sets the course in the direction of the CDU

Berlin The Berlin SPD is setting the course for a coalition with the CDU under a new governing mayor, Kai Wegner (CDU). The previous Governing Mayor Franziska Giffey (SPD) would then probably move to the second row. In the CDU, too, the coalition with the SPD seems to be easier to handle than an alliance with the Greens.

The SPD party leadership has scheduled four hours for what will probably be the decisive internal meeting on Wednesday, at 4.30 p.m. the state executive of the Social Democrats wants to meet Franziska Giffey and Raed Saleh. Usually such rounds go longer than planned anyway.
