SPD calls for a special session of Parliament

Berlin The traffic light coalition of SPD, Greens and FDP wants to pass the controversial law to switch to climate-friendly heating systems in a regular week of meetings of the Bundestag at the beginning of September, as their parliamentary group leaders announced on Thursday. The coalition partners are thus refraining from convening a special session during the summer break after the Federal Constitutional Court had stopped the enactment that was actually planned for this week.
