Technology giant Apple has worked very hard over the past year so that its users can listen to better music. Accordingly, it launched the Spatial Audio feature at the WWDC conference held in May of last year. This feature, which was brought to increase the audio experience of Apple Music users, seems to have attracted the attention of many people.
Some senior executives from Apple shared a statistic about whether the Apple Music app is liked by users. In the light of the shared data, the users of the application listen to the music rearranged with Spatial Audio more. According to Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s chief content officer, among the most important reasons for this is Spatial Audio, as well as the lossless audio feature that was introduced at the same time.
On the other hand, many songs released between the last 5 and 10 years, as well as old songs, increase the number of listening after these arrangements. The Weeknd re-released his 2016 album “Starboy” with a rearrangement at Spatial Audio studios. With the release, the album’s listening rate increased by 20 percent. Also, listening to The Beatles’ song “Here Comes the Sun”, released in 1969, increased by 50 percent after the edits.
Apple Music now offers all the content in its library with the “lossless audio” feature. This feature no doubt adds to the company’s success in the music app. But the lion’s share belongs to Spatial Audio, according to the vice president of Apple Music and Beats Oliver Schusser.
