Hamburg / Singapore – The eco-skyscraper looks like a giant cactus and is more than half a kilometer high!
It is 100% self-sufficient – through algae, water, wind and sun.
“Supercell” is 510 meters high, has 88 floors and is to be built in Singapore.
The Hamburg eco-giant made of concrete, glass and steel has thus climbed to 10th place among the world’s tallest skyscrapers.

The developer is the Jendrusch Group, which has already delivered a spectacular “Elbtower” design. Giant sails were supposed to catch wind and generate electricity from updrafts. At the time, it was probably too revolutionary for Hamburg decision-makers.
But not for the spectacular super skyscraper builders in Asia and Arabia!
Boss Frank Jendrusch (61) negotiates with them.
What can “Supercell” do?
►The high-rise has five giant sails. They direct the wind inside – into the 496 meter high updraft power plant with generators for electricity.
►Transparent solar collectors in the panes of the 475,000 square meter glass facade generate even more energy.
► “Supercell” has to be by the sea. Light and 390,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year produce microalgae in water basins. The algae produce, among other things. Food, fuel and oxygen.
►Turbo elevators are supplied by ThyssenKrupp. Multinationals such as Siemens Energy, Hochtief and research institutes such as Fraunhofer are also involved.
► Usable area: 1.84 million square meters. Cost: 3.5 billion euros.
Why is the high-rise king not building the super tower in Germany? “It would be twice as expensive!”
