Dusseldorf Rarely was the will to resign Germany as big as it is now. Experts in this country are not yet talking about a wave of layoffs, as can be observed in the USA and Great Britain. But the shortage of specialists and managers also means that Germany’s employees have become more willing to change jobs – and can afford higher demands when looking for a job.
More than a quarter of all employees regularly look for a new job. This is the result of a recent study by market researcher Gallup. Among the so-called deskless workers, the people who have to be physically present at their workplace, the willingness to change is also great: according to a study by the Boston Consulting Group, a third of this cohort, which includes waitresses, cleaning staff or salespeople, is planning the next half a year to cancel.
