Otokar has been developing minibuses and buses for public transportation for a long time. Now, it is keeping up with the technology and preparing the new bus, metrobus (articulated bus) and minibus models for the fully electric world.
Of course, many brands in our country are currently carrying out similar transformations in articulated, full and half-size buses. However, Otokar directly targets urban transportation with its new 6 and 6.6 meter 2 versions, the e-CENTRO model, which refers to the minibuses of the 1970s.

The vehicle, which has 11 fixed and 6 folding seats, can accommodate up to 14 standing passengers. Its fully electric motor, which provides 270 horsepower and 1,200 torque, surpasses its internal combustion predecessors in terms of performance. Moreover, it is very environmentally friendly as it has been developed in accordance with Euro 6 emissions. In addition, the exhaust explosions and city noise that we are accustomed to from old-style minibuses will now come to an end.
But the most important issue here is fast charging support and range. Its 110 kW Li-ion NMC battery offers a range of approximately 200 km. However, we estimate that it may decrease up to 150 kilometers depending on the season due to internal and external factors.
Considering that the average length of the minibus lines is 15-25 km, it will be enough to make 3-4 trips in the form of commute. Of course, the most important issue is how soon he can return to work afterward. In this case, it is stated that if the fast charging station is used, it can be fully charged in 1.5 hours.
