She is the future designer for BASF

Saori Dubourg

With BASF, she is making a DAX company fit for the future and is therefore Manager of the Year.

“Mixture is the salt of every interesting civilization,” said the writer Antonio Tabucchi. From this perspective, the career path of the German-Japanese Saori Dubourg has been a model of versatility and a remarkable mix of complementary experience and skills since starting at BASF.

She takes on tasks for BASF in Germany, the USA, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong. Sometimes she heads business management or global executive development, then she is responsible for the fiber binding business, sometimes she is responsible for all functional and country areas in the Asia-Pacific region, then she heads the nutritional additives division.

Her operational line leads her up to the board of directors of the Dax group. She has been a member of the BASF Board of Executive Directors since 2017, where she is globally responsible for the Agricultural Solutions and Nutrition & Health and Care Chemicals divisions, as well as for the Europe region, the high-tech start-up trinamiX and the Sustainability Board. A picture book career – but there is more.
