Second Nuclear Power Plant in Turkey to be Established in Sinop

Some of them may be large-scale power plants, as I said, but some of them are small modular reactors, which are very important for the transformation of our industry in energy.

We are planning and thinking that this technology will be very intensively related to both its production and installation in Turkey towards the 2030s. Therefore, such an area is obviously important for us, beyond the large nuclear power plants that we have negotiated with only with Russia, South Korea and China.”

Negotiations are made with three countries for nuclear power plants:
