Berlin The software giant SAP has exceeded its earnings forecast, which it raised several times last year. Currency-adjusted operating profit increased by one percent to 8.41 billion euros, the Walldorf-based Dax group announced late Thursday evening.

SAP last increased the range in October to 8.1 to 8.3 billion euros. The global group is making faster progress than expected in the transition to a pure cloud provider. Cloud revenue increased 19 percent in constant currency to €9.59 billion in 2021, at the upper end of guidance.

In the current financial year, SAP intends to further accelerate its cloud growth and increase currency-adjusted cloud sales to between EUR 11.55 and 11.85 billion. SAP leaves a wide range for the currency-adjusted operating result and ultimately wants to achieve between 7.8 and 8.25 billion euros.
