Samsung went to internal regulation: Now it has 2 CEOs!

Samsung Electronics has announced an internal reorganization of divisions along with changes in leadership. According to the information announced, it combined the mobile and consumer electronics departments. So now the company will have two CEOs managing two divisions. Samsung made such a radical change in 2017 with the last 3 CEOs it appointed for 3 separate departments.

Jong-hee Han, who was the Head of Visual Display business at Samsung, is now also the co-CEO of the SET division. The company thanks Han for topping his name in worldwide TV sales for 15 years. He also made the following statement on the subject:

It is expected to strengthen the synergy between the different departments in the SET Division and help drive new businesses and technologies.

The second new CEO is Kyehyun Kyung, who was previously the CEO of Samsung Electro-Mechanics. He has worked on Samsung’s flash memory product team and DRAM design team in the past. Now he will be tasked with leading the company’s crucial and highly profitable semiconductor division.

Samsung has also appointed the heads of its North American offices for both the SET and DS divisions and its new CFO, Hark Kyu Park. The management change is aimed at effectively streamlining the sprawling tech giant’s organizational structure into two businesses for consumer products and components, respectively.

Samsung is currently focusing specifically on its foldable phones. However, the normal operation within the company continues without any problems. After the S20FE model, which was introduced last year and received positive feedback from the user, the release of the S21FE was decided.
