A new company patent discovered at WIPO talks about a smartwatch with a sliding screen. It is clear from the shape of the device in the photo that it is a Galaxy Watch and it appears that the screen can be ‘extended’. What is meant by extension is a sliding cover. In other words, the cover will be kept closed and the screen will be protected and only opened when needed. This will extend its useful life.
