Competing with other chip manufacturers for years, but not able to catch up with Qualcomm and Apple, Samsung used the Exynos 2100 chip, which it introduced last year, on its phones and made ambitious statements for the future. Samsung, which is said to catch up with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips in the Exynos 2200, but soon came to the fore with the opposite comments, will disappoint with its new processor. As a matter of fact, the tests show that the Exynos 2200 can’t even keep up with the Snapdragon 888, let alone the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
While the results of the Geekbench 5 test of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Apple A15 Bionic, MediaTek Dimensity 9000, Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2200 are compared on a graphic, the results are of the kind that will upset the Samsung front.

Exynos 2200 is behind Snapdragon 888; Dimensity 9000 is ahead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
Introducing the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in December, Qualcomm was a guest of our news, especially with heating problems. In addition, Apple used the A15 Bionic chip in the iPhone 13 series it introduced and, as usual, managed to leave behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which was introduced later. However, the real shocks emerged in the following period. MediaTek, which has been touted as “garbage” by the public for years, seems to leave the new chip of Snapdragon behind with the Dimensity 9000 it will launch.
Based on Geekbench tests, the most powerful processor is Apple A15 Bionic. Right behind the not-so-surprising leader, we see MediaTek. While the Dimensity 9000, which placed in the second place and managed to surpass Qualcomm, was followed by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which debuted in December, we can say that the fourth place is quite surprising. As a matter of fact, the fourth place is not the Samsung Exynos 2200, which will be introduced soon, but the Snapdragon 888, which was introduced last year and is now obsolete. More precisely, the Exynos 2200 multi-core Snapdragon 888′, exactly 9 points passed; Snapdragon 888 outperformed Exynos 2200 by 16 points in single core.
Samsung’s new chip did not even surpass the Snapdragon 888, making it last among the five processors listed. The manufacturer, which created great expectations with its AMD production graphics card, claims that it will offer the best mobile gaming experience, but the test results do not say so.
