S10 and Note10 series will no longer receive updates!

Samsung also released the One UI 4.1 interface with the S22 series, which it launched last February. In the next 4 months, it offered this update to other devices step by step. Last week, One UI officially approved version 4.1.1. But it turned out that it will not update for S10 and Note10. So which devices will get it?

S10 and Note10 series will no longer receive updates!

Samsung has said that it will give its newly released devices (even if it is not a flagship) at least 3 years of Android and One UI, and 5 years of security updates. However, when there is a competitor like Apple, he realized that this would not be enough and announced that he would give the Android update for 4 years for some(!) models.

However, it is said that the S10 and Note 10 series, which were offered for sale only 3 years ago, have now been removed from Android and One UI update support. Of course, not only these devices, but also devices such as AX1 and MX1, which are 2 years old, will not receive Android 12 and the new One UI versions.

It was said that One UI 4.1.1 could be released during the promotional event for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. But the transition to Android 13 will not be with this interface. Because, according to Samsung’s plans, it is possible that this move is reserved for One UI 5.

In the first place, Samsung is preparing to ship for the Galaxy S22 series, as expected. Later, it will be given to the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Note 20 models. On the tablet side, it is known that only the Galaxy Tab 8 series will take it for now. But there will also be Tab S7 models in the 2nd or 3rd stage. The Tab S6, on the other hand, will remain obscure for a long time.

For other manufacturers, the update length is as follows:

  • Samsung: 4 years of operating system / 5 years of security updates
  • Google: 3 years of operating system (at least 4 after Tensor) / 5 years of security updates
  • OnePlus: 3 years of operating system / 4 years of security updates
  • Xiaomi: 3 years of operating system / 4 years of security updates
  • in vivo: 3 years of operating system / 3 years of security updates
  • Oppo: 2 years of operating system / 3 years of security updates

Devices that will definitely receive 4 years of Android and 5 years of security updates:
