Dogecoin’s Inspiration Kabosu Passed Away!

Shiba Inu The (SHIB) community commemorated the iconic Dogecoin meme with a heartfelt tribute to the original meme that sparked the cryptocurrency revolution. The tribute follows the passing of Kabosu, the Shiba Inu dog whose confused expression became synonymous with Dogecoin and broader meme culture. Kabosu, the beloved dog who lent his face to the viral “Doge” meme, has passed away at the age of 18. The Shiba Inu dog has not only been an inspiration for Dogecoin, Shiba Inu and other dog coins, but has also become a symbol of the fun and cheerful spirit of the cryptocurrency community.

As news of Kabosu’s passing spread, condolences poured in from around the world, and the SHIB community joined in honoring the legacy of the dog that started it all. Acknowledging Kabosu’s impact on the internet and cryptocurrency world, the official Shiba Inu X account wrote: “Today the internet loses a legend. On Thursday, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved applications from Nasdaq, CBOE and NYSE to list exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tied to the price of Ethereum, potentially paving the way for trading later this year.
