Of the British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has rejected a political way out for Russian President Vladimir Putin from the war in Ukraine. “If you were offered a gold bridge in the morning he would ram it on purpose,” Wallace said on the sidelines of the Tory party conference in Birmingham on Monday.
Putin failed to take advantage of several opportunities to make political offers himself. Instead, Russia always fights with the greatest brutality, its troops committing atrocities. Giving in to Putin would only motivate other tyrants to pursue their goals with similar brutality, Wallace said.
