Taking various steps in line with its globalization and growth targets, Italian brand Fiat is sailing into a new field. With the factory opening in Algeria, news of new models started to come. Fiat, which has set its sights on the pickup segment again after a long time, is making an assertive entrance this time. Here is Fiat brand’s new pickup model, Fiat Titano, and its details…

It plans to be the first model that comes to mind when it comes to off-road!

Fiat Titano, which is described as the return of the Italian brand to the pickup industry, is produced in the Algerian factory, where the production of the brand’s popular model Doblo was also shifted from the Bursa factory. The Titano model, which is targeted for sales in Algeria and its region, challenges models such as Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi L200 and Nissan Navara.

If we return to the production of the vehicle, it is actually produced with a system we call “common architecture”. The basis of the model belongs to the Peugeot Landtrek pickup model. The Peugeot Landtrek model actually has the same infrastructure as the Chinese Changan Kaicene F70 model. In short, although the Italian Titano is actually a distant relative, we can say that he is of Chinese origin.

Going back to the Titano model, the vehicle is on sale in Algeria as of today. Titano, sold with a 1.9 liter engine, produces 350 Nm of torque and 150 Hp power with this unit. You control this unit with a 6-speed manual transmission. Test videos regarding the off-road capabilities of the vehicle have not been published yet, but they will be available in the coming days.
