Dusseldorf The Munich-based company Cyan, which specializes in cyber security, has been targeted by law enforcement agencies. According to joint research by the Austrian magazine “Zack Zack” and the Handelsblatt, the Munich I public prosecutor’s office is investigating possible market manipulation.

The authority confirmed this when asked: According to a spokeswoman, three suspects were being investigated in connection with Cyan AG. There are two cases involved, one of which has “a subordinate connection to the legal relationships between Cyan AG and the Wirecard Group.”

“The preliminary investigation was initiated following a complaint by the Bafin,” said the public prosecutor. Last summer, the Bafin initiated investigations in connection with Cyan AG’s financial instruments, “Zack Zack” reported in August 2021.
