Range exceeding 1,400 km with High Performance Chery Fengyun A8
The pre-sale price of the Chery Fengyun A8 PHEV sedan model, the plug-in hybrid version of the Arrizo 8 model, which was introduced at the Shanghai Auto Show in April this year, has been officially announced. It will be available for a price ranging from $18,200 to $21,000.
The vehicle is planned to be released on January 3, 2024. Chery brought back the Fengyun series in September to focus specifically on new energy vehicles, and plans to launch 11 models in the next two years.

The first model, Fengyun A8, has a wide front grille, transitional rear taillights, hidden exhaust outlet layout and a roof spoiler. Vehicle dimensions are; Its length is 4780 mm, its width is 1843 mm, its height is 1487 mm and its wheelbase is 2790 mm. The interior features dual 24.6-inch displays consisting of a widescreen central control display.
In addition, this dual screen gets its power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Other features include 10 airbags, ambient lighting, a Sony brand sound system, wireless phone charging, a large panoramic glass sunroof, and a level 2 advanced driver assistance system that supports adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring.

The vehicle has a powertrain supported by Chery’s Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM system. This system includes the fifth generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI hybrid motor and a permanent magnet synchronous motor.
The engine produces 115 kW and 220 Nm, while the electric motor produces 150 kW and 310 Nm. The vehicle completes the 0-100 km/h acceleration time in 7 seconds. The 18.3 kWh lithium battery pack offers a pure electric driving range of 106 km and a generous range of over 1,400 km according to WLTC. With fast charging, 30% to 80% of the battery can be charged in 19 minutes.
