However, this situation seems to change soon. According to the statement, the OnePlus 10T will be the company’s first flagship phone in a long time without the Alert Slider button. The statement came with the sharing that revealed the design of the OnePlus 10T.
OnePlus chief designer Hope Liu stated that they had to forgo the Alert Slider for other key components of the device, including a larger battery, faster charging and a better antenna. The Alert Slider takes up approximately 30 mm² of space on the motherboard. This figure can be represented as a relatively large area in the packaging of the device. Adding the aforementioned features without removing the Alert Slider key could have resulted in a thicker phone.
In addition, it is said that the OnePlus 10T will have 150W fast charging, as opposed to the 80W on the OnePlus 10 Pro. Liu also confirmed that the OnePlus 10T has “two charging ports”. This statement also confirms that the phone has high-speed charging features.
Another important change about the new flagship phone was the absence of the HasselBlad brand. The company has confirmed that the new model will use the 50MP Sony IMX766 as its primary sensor in its camera. OnePlus also hopes to offer better gaming performance with its new antenna layout with 15 separate antennas inside.
