According to a survey of intensive care physicians, every third intensive care bed cannot be occupied because there is a lack of nursing staff.
The fourth wave would have overflowed the barrel for many nursing staff, according to the Verdi union. “Many employees in the care sector have turned their backs on their jobs in large numbers, even though they love it,” says Verdi board member Sylvia Bühler to BILD am SONNTAG.

Bühler’s demand: The traffic light coalition must deal with the failures of the current government and ensure better working conditions with needs-based personnel requirements.
