Noteworthy Metaverse Partnership from Adidas and Ready Player Me

German sports shoes and sportswear giant adidasannounced yesterday that it has collaborated with the metaverse gaming platform Ready Player Me. Parties will launch a personality-based and AI-generated avatar creation platform featuring Adidas Original’s Ozworld shoe collection.

Ready Player Me‘s technology is helping people to explore different virtual metaverse worlds with a single identity. The platform launched by Adidas Originals will be linked to the company’s latest Ozworld shoe release.

The futuristic sneakers, called Ozworld, were first released in the nineties and feature a dynamic “adiprene cushioned” outsole and upper. After the partnership, fans will be able to create metaverse avatars using the Adidas Ozworld branding.

“Every unique avatar will be able to surf the web through a partnership with Ready Player Me,” the company said in a statement Tuesday. “This is the first brand partnership to push the boundaries of the platform and will offer interoperability in productive avatars with over 1,500 different metaverse apps and games.”

By the end of November 2021, it had formed a partnership with Coinbase and The Sandbox and started testing its NFTs on different platforms. In December, he partnered with Bored Ape Yacht Club for an NFT project.

Following these agreements, Adidas Originals launched an NFT collection with Punks Comics, Gmoney and the BAYC project. The company’s Adidas Originals NFT compilation was also the best NFT project in terms of sales volume.

New avatar NFTs, which can be created via AI, will be released on April 8 and will be available to Adiclub members and Adidas NFT Owners will have early access to the metaverse. On April 28, the first versions will be on the market.
