War, inflation, turnaround in interest rates and great uncertainty all around. The markets were in turmoil in 2022. Some investors are probably happy that the stock market year has come to an end. Does the new year also mean new luck for investors?
That’s what we want to know from you! Which asset classes will you bet on in 2023 and why? What would you like to do differently? Are you looking for more secure investment opportunities? According to a representative survey commissioned by the Association of German Banks, investors in 2023 would most likely invest in inflation-resistant investments such as real estate or gold. Do you agree? How important is the security aspect to your investments in 2023? Funds, savings plans and shares were also mentioned relatively frequently in the survey.
In any case, banks and fund houses assume that the Dax will rise in the new year, but do not expect a new Dax record either. There are still doubts, especially with regard to the interest rate hikes and the extent of the economic downturn. Do you believe in a sustainable stock market upswing? The cryptocurrencies were extremely shaken in 2022. Bitcoin has lost around 64 percent in value within a year. The second-largest cryptocurrency, Ether, also fell sharply. The industry was also shaped by the FTX collapse and the bankruptcies of crypto platforms and the hedge fund Three Arrows Capital. What do you think: How will cryptocurrencies continue in 2023?
