According to WhaleStats, 600,000 ApeCoins worth approximately $8.4 million were purchased in two separate transactions by two huge Ethereum whales in the past hours. The whale watcher reports that the first trade was made by a 20th-ranked whale, and the second was by a 10th-ranked whale.
A new NFT coin, ApeCoin (APE), announced its launch two days ago. On March 18, it reached $18.05 (on the Binance exchange) before falling to the price it is now. According to CoinMarketCap data, ApeCoin is trading at $13.98, up 6.75% in the last 24 hours. We saw it reach $40 on the first day it was listed on the exchanges.
The enormous demand for Ape NFTs, which amount to several hundred thousand dollars each, multiplies and fuels interest in ApeCoin. In the last 24 hours, a large ETH whale named “Gimli”, which ranks seventh on the WhaleStats list and has 375 billion Shiba Inu or $8,201,153, has added additional Apecoin to its portfolio. “Gimli”, who became famous for his Shiba Inu frenzy late last year, bought around 300,000 ApeCoins in two separate purchases. The first transaction of the ETH whale was worth 84,090 APE or $1,178,952. The second transaction totaled APE 216,220 or $2,841,135.
