After BMW introduced the new 2 Series Coupe in July, new photos of the M2 from the Nürburgring, whose spy photos were leaked, came. According to the photos, the vehicle, which does not look like an ordinary M2, is thought to be another version planned to arrive at the next date. The exhaust system of the vehicle in the photos draws attention, which has larger quadruple tips compared to an ordinary M2.
The latest generation 2 series Coupe versions to date had only the automatic option; however, it seems that this number is about to change with the M2. Rumors are circulating that the M2 is expected to have three pedals.
The design of the new M2 will be different from the 2 Series Coupe
The interior of the prototype, whose interior is not clearly visible from the photos, seems to have carbon seats, which is an improvement that implies that the vehicle is performance-oriented. Another thing that draws attention in the M2, which also has larger wheels, is that the vehicle seems to go lower than the previous M2s caught during testing in the past months.
It is also rumored that the vehicle produces 494 horsepower with the S58, which is also found in its big brother M4. The larger M Performance Coupe is available with xDrive depending on the individual; Rumors are that BMW will launch the next M2 with a rear-wheel-only layout to reduce weight. In addition to these, it seems that an automatic transmission will also be available.
Codenamed G87, the new M2 will look different from the 2 Series Coupe thanks to the changes made to its engine, as well as its rectangular air intakes and front grille with horizontal slats. Looks like the new M2; In addition to being almost as powerful as an M4, it will be much lighter.
