After the ChatGPT chatbot launched by OpenAI attracted great attention, the eyes of the whole world were turned to artificial intelligence applications. After ChatGPT was welcomed by millions of people, a new move came from OpenAI.
OpenAI starts a new era with GPT-4
OpenAI has launched GPT-4, a new image and text detection artificial intelligence model that it has announced before. GPT-4 will be available through the premium version of the AI-powered chatbot ChatGPT from today.
According to the statement, GPT-4 will be able to detect image and text inputs. Let us remind you that the previous version of the application, GPT-3.5, only allows text input. It is claimed by OpenAI that the GPT-4 will perform at a “human level” on various professional and academic benchmarks.
OpenAI announced that they spent six months iteratively balancing GPT-4 using ChatGPT as well as lessons learned from a competitor testing program. According to the company, the new system achieved “best-ever results” in terms of authenticity, steerability and security.
OpenAI states that although the difference between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 is not obvious in a casual conversation, the difference of GPT-4 will emerge when the conversation gets deeper. As the task given to artificial intelligence becomes more complex, GPT-4 is stated to be more reliable and creative than its predecessor.
The test results shared by OpenAI are also proof of this development. GPT-4 produces much more successful results in almost every field than its previous version. Some of the test results revealed by GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 are listed as follows:
