Dusseldorf Despite the home office obligation ending on Sunday, the large corporations in Germany are increasingly relying on working from home. In view of the increasing number of infections, most companies only want to open their offices cautiously. This is the result of a Handelsblatt survey of the 40 Dax companies and ten large family businesses.

For example, the pharmaceutical manufacturer Merck recommends that its office workers “urgently reduce contacts at work”. The clinic operator Fresenius argues similarly: “In the pandemic, there is no all-clear.” Healthcare companies in particular need to know.

The corona numbers with almost 300,000 new infections per day are higher than ever during the pandemic. And working from home has been tried and tested over the past few months. Companies in all sectors want to “take a cautious approach to returning to the office,” as reported by the chemical giant BASF.
