Mehmet Yılmaz, Chief Product Engineer of the Heavy Class Attack Helicopter Project, from the TAI ATAK-2 engineering team, gave information about the first flight in an interview with Anadolu Agency. Mehmet Yılmaz stated in his interview that they aim to run the engine for 15 hours on the ground before the first flight. In other words, the ground tests of the helicopter have not been completed yet. But let’s also mention that the team is progressing quite fast. Mehmet Yılmaz added that they are planning to make the first flight of the helicopter this week.
