Spotify Opens Job Ads in NFT and Web3 Fields
With the job postings Spotify shared recently, it turned out that the company is looking for people to work in the Web 3.0 field. The concept of Web 3.0 describes the decentralization of the internet thanks to Blockchain technology.
The first of the job postings shared by the company mentions a discovery team that will work on Web 3.0 and the engineers who are asked to join this “experimental growth” team. It is stated that the candidate will be responsible for the company’s growth towards Web 3.0.
Another job posting is seeking a manager to join the Spotify “Innovation and Market Intelligence” group. The person sought for this job is expected to have experience in “the content, content production, media, Web3, and emerging technology industries.”
With the latest development, Spofity has become one of the world’s giant technology companies participating in the world of Web3 and NFT. Recently, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in his statement that NFTs will be supported soon on Instagram.
Earlier this month, P2P file sharing platform Limewire announced that it wants to return to the market, this time as an NFT marketplace. The platform has announced its goal of becoming a “more mature platform,” as rival BitTorrent did after it was acquired by TRON founder Justin Sun in 2018.
