Dusseldorf The number of job advertisements in Germany has been increasing for months. The shortage of skilled workers is affecting the largest and most important stock exchange groups in the country, as an exclusive analysis by the job search engine Indeed for the Handelsblatt shows.

According to this, the number of jobs advertised in the Dax increased again in February – to more than 25,000. In January there were still around 1,000 fewer vacancies. Merck, Puma and Vonovia intensified their search for personnel the most compared to the previous month. Only ten companies are currently looking for fewer staff than in January.

The Fresenius Group currently has the most jobs to fill in the Dax, followed by Deutsche Post and BMW. All three are looking for more staff than at the beginning of the year. Fresenius is primarily looking for doctors, nurses and other specialist staff for its Helios clinics.
