Million-dollar giant robot from Japan: Archax

Giant robots, which are frequently featured in Japanese anime and manga, have finally become real. Of course, we do not have a giant robot as in the anime and movie series. A Japanese startup called Tsubame Industries has developed a rideable robot that is 4.5 meters long. The robot named Archax is astounding with its price.

Archax is not actually the first giant robot to be ridden. Previously, two entrepreneurial groups in the USA and Japan had developed giant robots and fought. However, this time we have a very well-equipped ride-on robot.

The price of the Archax robot is 400 million Japanese Yen, which is approximately 2.7 million dollars at today’s exchange rate. If we look at the Turkish currency value, it has an astonishing price of approximately 74 billion TL.

Archax, a million-dollar robot with a Transformers-like structure, can reach a speed of 10 km. To achieve this speed, the robot leans down and spreads its legs in an almost horizontal position, just like Transformers. The user can get into the cockpit of the robot by opening its head. For this purpose, there is a staircase in the front.

NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured an eerie image of spider-like shapes on the planet.

The robot’s arms and hands and fingers also move. In this sense, the million-dollar robot Archax is the first giant robot with such a complicated anatomy. The robot’s head can also turn left and right.

In the cockpit part of the robot, there are four screens and joysticks for movement. On these four screens, it is possible to see the four camera images located on the front, back and sides of the robot’s head. Archax is 4.5 meters tall and weighs 3.5 tons.

Tsubame company introduced its giant archax rideable robot this summer. However, the robot will appear before the public at the Japan Mobility Fair, which will be held between October 26 and November 5.

In fact, the million-dollar robot was inspired by the legendary Japanese anime series Mobile Suit Gundam rather than Transformers. The series included building-sized robots and the drivers who used them. Even though Archax is not that big, it turns the Japanese big robot dream into reality.

So, would anyone really buy the Archax robot with its jaw-dropping price? We are waiting your comments.
