Meta gets involved in the Russia-Ukraine war!

Meta, which became the umbrella organization of companies such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp last year, announced that it suspended all its services in Russia indefinitely after the call from Ukraine. But according to the new information that has emerged, it will become a side of the war by doing much more than that.

The claim that ‘HBO Max shares subscriber data with Facebook’ has confused

HBO Max, which will start its activities in our country very soon, share their subscriber viewing history with Facebook?

Meta changes Facebook and Instagram policies

Hate speech, violence and disgrace, etc., due to its policies actively in use on Meta, Facebook and Instagram. sharing was blocked. However, according to the information that has emerged, the company will allow the posts of people who call for violence against the Russians and directly against the Russian soldiers against the occupation of Ukraine.

In fact, according to e-mails sent to the company’s content moderators, Meta will not be content with this. It will temporarily allow some posts calling for the death of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in countries such as Russia, Ukraine and Poland.

Making a statement on the subject, the Meta official said:

As a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, ‘Death to the Russian invaders’ etc. We have temporarily allowed forms of political expression that would normally violate our rules, such as violent speech. Still, we will not allow credible calls for violence against Russian civilians.

According to the information revealed, Meta will put this policy update into service in the first place in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Slovakia, apart from Russia, Ukraine and Poland.

In response, the Russian embassy to the US asked Washington to stop this and similar extremist activities commissioned by Meta. He also made the following statement on the subject:

Meta’s aggressive and murderous policy, which leads to incitement of hatred and hostility towards the Russians, is outrageous. The actions of the company are another proof of the unregulated information warfare declared in our country.
