Baykar reached a revenue of over 1 billion dollars last year. Moreover, over 99 percent of this amount comes from exports. Therefore, we can say that it has achieved great demand and success. As a matter of fact, it seems that this upward momentum will continue in 2023.
Because agreements continue to be signed one after another. If we do not count the Bayraktar TB2 purchase process of the United Arab Emirates, which is still uncertain, we can say that it is the biggest sale made so far.
Of course, this $367 million deal is not just for the Bayraktar TB2 SİHA. With this system, ground control units, smart mini-munitions produced by ROKETSAN, and laser-guided missiles will also be sold. In other words, Baykar alone will not make a profit.
In addition, let’s say that this agreement has created a value that it represents in the international community. Because after Kuwait announced that it would purchase a SİHA in 2019, a competitive competition was held in which American, European and Chinese companies also took part.
